Ellie Shearer – is a professional jazz player and one of Australia’s top Lead trombone players.
Ellie graduated the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance). Here she studied under many of Australia’s leading musicians including Dave Panichi, James Greening, Scott Kinmont (Sydney Symphony Orchestra), Craig Scott, and Judy Bailey.
Ellie is an active member of the Sydney music scene, regularly performing and touring with many incredible artists including the Australian National Jazz Orchestra, the Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra, Dave Panichi’s Big Band, and others.
In addition, Ellie has performed on major television shows and also works as a session musician having recorded with a variety of Australian artist including John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John, Hugh Jackman and many more.
Ellie finished off 2019 on Hugh Jackman’s ‘The Man The Music The Show’ Australia tour and has started the new year in the UK where she plans to extend her career and passion for music.
